Whitewater Ski Team is proud to share the story of Henry Leishman through a blog that he has started. He is an athlete that started in our Entry Level program and continued through U16 and is now racing as a FIS athlete for our Kootenay Zone Team. Henry is a very humble, hard-working athlete who is truly enjoying the journey that he is on. The program that he is doing involves summer dryland camps, summer ski camps in Oregon, lots of CrossFit training at Power By You, fall ski camp in Europe, and training and racing around the province and beyond. He is a grade 12 student who is doing his schooling at Selkirk College in the adult education program in order to be able to have the flexibility to do courses on the road and through the less busy summer months. Henry has done some fundraising to offset the high costs and has acquired a Fischer ski sponsorship through Village Ski Hut and is a Power By You sponsored team athlete.
