This Saturday is our Team Photo Day!
I will send coaches the schedule and each group will have their photo taken and it will be uploaded to the website for you.
We are still without a photographer but I am confident that one of you will step up and volunteer to be the team photographer for Saturday morning.

We are going to start a new team tradition this week! We will recognize the coaches group that lives up to our Team Values the most each week!
This group will get to spend the week with one of our 2 newest team members; these fuzzy little critters that you see in the attached photo.
One of the critters will be for the Provincial program and the other for the Shredders program. They need names so groups can work on this on Saturday please.

We have our Kootenay Zone Race coming up on the weekend of Feb 10/11 just 2 weeks away! We will require volunteers from both the Provincial and Shredders parents. Many of our volunteer positions are filled already but we could use a few more.

Shredders update:
Unfortunately the Red race was cancelled due to lack of snow but we do have our Salmo race coming up on Feb 4 and they have opened!

Provincial update:
Our U14 and U16 athletes were away for the 3 day Kootenay Zone Speed Camp this past weekend at Kimberley where they were learning the fundamentals of going very fast. The Dreadnaught is a nearly 3km long racing track that is closed to the public and lined with safety nets where teams can go and play safely at speeds up to 100km/hr. Our crew had a great time and improved technically and gained a huge amount of confidence.
The group is looking forward to a weekend at home after a couple of away weekends!
