Head Coach – Dylan Henderson
Dylan grew up on a hobby farm out in the woods near Nelson with back-to-the-land parents. He ski-raced on the Salmo Ski Team through to the age of 16 at the FIS level.
He and his wife Taylor built their home near where he grew up and have two sons, Harper and Arlo, who are enjoying the ski race life. Dylan began coaching when he was 16 years old as an assistant for the Whitewater Ski Team and that winter he took the Kootenay team to the BC Games. He returned to coaching as a parent with the Salmo Ski Team.
He began coaching at Whitewater in 2007 as the Head Coach. The team has been steadily growing and every season is filled with new and exciting programs and team adventures.
I am very passionate about the Whitewater Ski Team. The most rewarding experience as a coach is working with athletes toward their individual goals, and through this process, seeing them reach their own personal level of excellence.
U14 Coach – Al Bull
Al grew up on a ski hill in Ontario, being involved with skiing and ski racing his entire life.
He is a very experienced, advanced-level coach, coaching U16 programs around the Kootenays, including Salmo for several years, as well as the Whitewater team as the head coach in the 1990s. He is a huge asset to the team and to the Kootenay zone.
When not skiing, Al can be found hanging out with his kids and engaging in his other passion … fishing.
